Principal & Founder
Lori is a Wharton MBA who has served as COO and Director at leading AmLaw firms, including DLA Piper, Hogan Lovells, and Dentons. She has worked closely with managing partners on financial and operational strategy, driving modernization and 20%+ revenue growth. She founded FFA to bring big-firm leadership to firms serious about their future.
Jeff Marquis
Principal
Jeff is a CPA, CFA, and Harvard-trained finance leader who has reengineered financial teams for law firms, hospitality companies, and e-commerce organizations. He brings operational rigor, technology fluency, and a builder’s mindset to every engagement, delivering financial leadership that supports disciplined, confident growth.
Perry Owen
COO/CFO
Perry is the retired CFO and former member of the Leadership Cabinet at Bricker Graydon LLP, where he oversaw firm finances and operations. His career spans more than 30 years, beginning at Ernst & Young and including senior roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ohio State’s Fischer College of Business.
Zerrick Bynum
CFO
Zerrick is a C-level finance executive with over two decades of experience in corporate finance and investment banking. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford and an MBA from Harvard. He specializes in cash flow optimization, financial risk management, and capital structure improvement for privately held service businesses.
Ben Madden
CHRO
Ben brings over 20 years of senior HR leadership experience. Most recently, he led a fivefold workforce expansion at The Ambit Group and played a key role in the company’s successful sale in 2022. He holds PHR, SHRM-CP, and Agile HR certifications and earned his M.S. from American University.
Richard Piotrowicz
CFO
Richard is a financial leader whose career includes 12 years as CFO of an AmLaw 100 firm. He brings broad expertise in finance, accounting, tax, systems, and strategic planning, and partners closely with managing partners to align financial management with business goals.
Our Story
Built by People Who Have Run the Business Side of Law Firms
Fractional Firm Advisors was founded by a law firm executive who built her career inside sophisticated firms, serving in operational and financial leadership roles at DLA Piper, Hogan Lovells, and later as Executive Director of a midsized firm. In those roles, she helped build the infrastructure that allowed those firms to operate at a high level.
Midsized firms face challenges as complex as those of much larger institutions, yet many don’t have the executive bench or budget to support full-time C-suite hires. Managing partners often get pulled into operational responsibilities, or critical functions fall to capable people who may lack the specialized knowledge the moment requires.
She saw firsthand how quickly a firm could change when an experienced leader stepped in. Even on a fractional basis, the right expertise brought clarity, accountability, and momentum.
